Getting Paid on The Local Ticket
1 min read
A quick guide for event organizers on how to set up your payout method and withdraw your earnings.
Before you can be paid: set your payout method #
You only need to do this once. Until it’s set, you can request a payout but we can’t actually send the money.
- Log in and go to your Store Dashboard.
- In the left menu, go to Settings → Payment.
- Choose your preferred payout method and fill in the details:
- PayPal — enter the email address on your PayPal account.
- Bank transfer / direct deposit — enter your account details.
- Stripe — connect your Stripe account when prompted.
- Set it as your Preferred Payment Method and Save.
Double-check the email or account details. Payouts go exactly where this says, so a typo here means a delayed payment.
How your earnings work #
When someone buys a ticket to your event, your share (your sale total minus our platform commission) is credited to you as commission. A couple of things decide when that money becomes available to withdraw:
- The order has to be complete. Earnings become withdrawable once an order reaches Completed status. Orders still in progress won’t show as available yet.
- There may be a short holding period. Funds can be held for a few days after a sale before they’re eligible for withdrawal. This is normal and protects against refunds and chargebacks.
You can always see your current earnings and what’s available in your dashboard under Payments (or Withdrawal).
Requesting your payout #
- Go to Withdrawal in your Store Dashboard menu (on some screens this lives under Payments).
- You’ll see a list of your eligible orders and the amount available.
- Select the order(s) you want to withdraw against.
- Click Request.
That’s it. Your request is sent to us for review.
What happens next #
- We review the request and approve it.
- Payment is sent to the payout method you set up (PayPal, bank, or Stripe).
- You’ll see the request move to Approved / Paid in your dashboard, so you always have a record of what’s been paid.
Troubleshooting #
“I don’t see any funds available to withdraw.” Check that your orders have reached Completed status, and remember there may be a short holding period after each sale before funds unlock.
“My withdrawal request failed or won’t go through.” Make sure you’ve saved a payout method under Settings → Payment. This is the most common cause — no payout details on file means nothing can be sent.
“The amount looks off.” Your payout is your sales total minus the platform commission and any applicable taxes. If something still doesn’t add up, get in touch and we’ll walk through it with you.
